Sponsors and volunteers

Five students cannot do this on their own.

The reason a Wichita business can have a real website built for nothing — and pay only what the domain and hosting genuinely cost — is that a lot of people have quietly given us the expensive parts, and a lot of hours nobody billed us for.

What is given, and what it pays for.

We would rather show the arithmetic than say "supported by our partners" and leave you guessing.

Hours
Working professionals who sit down with us in evenings and at weekends — developers, designers, photographers, accountants — reviewing what we build and teaching us the parts a degree does not cover.
Software
The analytics platform behind our free tools was written and donated by littleconsult.com. Building it from scratch is not something five students could have done between classes.
Hosting and domains
Donated by sigmaclava.com, who carry this site and much of the infrastructure behind the ones we build. It is why the only bill a shop sees is its own domain and hosting.
Introductions
Business owners who liked what we did and told the shop next door. Nearly every business we work with came to us that way.

How to help

There is more work than there are of us.

Every hour someone gives us is another Wichita business that gets seen this year instead of next. We are not fundraising for an office; we are trying to get through a waiting list.

  • Give us an evening

If you build websites, take photographs, write, or know small-business accounting, a couple of hours a month goes further than you would think.

  • Put a shop online

We build for free, but the domain and first year of hosting still cost about $100, and some businesses genuinely cannot spare it. A hundred dollars puts one shop on the internet for a year, and we will tell you which shop.

  • Donate a service you already sell

Hosting, domains, stock, print, a photography day. In-kind help is worth more to us than cash, because it removes a cost rather than paying for one.

  • Introduce us to a business

Costs nothing and is genuinely the most useful thing on this list. Most owners have never heard of us and would not believe the price from a cold email.

  • Join the team

Barton students especially: we want this to outlast the five of us, and that only works if the next group is already here.

Every hour donated turns into a shop that gets found.

That is the whole conversion rate. No overheads, no salaries, no office — the help goes straight through to a business on a Wichita street.
